New C-Flash Memory is the Size of a Dime
Flash memory continues to get smaller, and smaller, and higher in capacity. Unfortunately, it also means yet another standard in the already crowded flash arena. Today Pretac announced a new form of Flash memory called C-Flash that is roughly the size of a dime and will hit 1GB capacity by this summer (currently it tops out at 128MBs.) Intended to use in cell phones, you can imagine what having a Gig under the hood will mean for storing numbers, contacts, and higher resolution pictures. Source: Personal Tech Pipeline
My question: Shouldn't the name for this chip be D-Flash since it's the size of a dime? Hello Pretac marketing department?!
