Industrial Shredder Eats Washing Machines, Mattresses, Whole Computers, and More
I mention this becuase we just bought a new shredder for the office and even though it claims to be heavy-duty and will even shred compact discs, I jammed it on the first day with only a few sheets of paper.

But here's a shredder that can not only do paper and aluminimum cans, but major items like washing machines and mattresses, tires and tree stumps. It's oddly refreshing to watch the little video clips including the "shred of the month."

I'd never thought of putting a couch through my shredder...

I know! I liked the washing machine and the truck tires. You don't ever want to fal into one of those - it would be over in three seconds.

OK, fun to watch, but what's the purpose here? After an old PC has been reduced to thousands of tiny bits, can it be recycled, or does the shredded PC still toxify a landfill?

I can't think of any bettwe way to expose as many heavy metals to the environment any faster than by using this device to demolish electronics. Why, it is a positive boon to the reverse-extractive industries. Let's turn the 'tronics boxes (bulky, slow to oxidize (especially under a few tons of other stuff)) into a thin layer that can really influence leachate.

Let's just grind up all the old TVs, VCRs, CPUs, PBXs and spread them thinly over the aquifer (or, do as they do in the Ozarks: dump 'em down the sink hole) and forget about the damage they all will do in a few days....

Google "Rapture Index" and you will know why this shredder is just a part of God's Plan during the End Times!
