Asus V6800V: World's Thinnest 15-inch Laptop
Asus claims to have developed the world's thinnest laptop. Less than an inch thick and weighing in at 4.4 pounds, the V6800V uses the new Sonoma Centrino chipset from Intel. We covered the fact that the new Sonoma chips were expected to offer less battery life than the current Centrino line - a major disappointment for a Thinkpad user like myself, but the Asus also comes with an optional 8 cell battery that can boost battery life to (un-tested) 8 hours. Priced at $2,300, the bad news is you can only buy this in the UK. What is with the US being so far behind on these new products?! Source: Gizmodo
