Blogging Gets Secretive with PostSecret
We Did It Here First Dept: Yahoo News just did a piece on a new blog that is getting a ton of traffic. PostSecret was designed as a conceptual art project (and I HATE conceptual art projects as a rule.) The creator sent out blank postcards and asked artists and regular people to anonymously mail back a secret. The artists did some interesting stuff, but the surprise was the depth of the secrets revealed, including dark things like "I like +one+ of my children." and "I caused someone to commit suicide."

But what I'd like to point out is that we did it here first with our Technical Confessions. Including someone who admitted he liked shovelling snow with a plain old shovel and not a high end snowblower, and someone else preferred Microsoft Works to Office. Maybe it's time for another round. Who cares about the dark stuff - share your technical confessions today!

I'll start this off:

I secretly want an iMac Mini.

I keep it hush, hush, but I actually like some of M$'s products....shhh.

I thought Linux was a Peanut's character.

I like wrinkles.

When writing HTML by hand I use the {b} tag instead the {strong} tag.

I eat food.

I thought about using < frames > last night. I'm so ashamed!

I use my Powerbook for reading this blog, shopping for parts at Newegg for my PCs, and remote administration of Windows servers from home...

I type with two fingers.

I just farted, but nobody smells it yet.

I've secretly thought about asking Alice to marry me, but think my wife would get mad like she does at ALL my ideas. She's a real drag.

kinda on the same line... here's a site that posts random stuff found on the street.

I was *so* proud the first time I made expansion room in my Tandy 1000sx with a hammer and vicegrips. I knew I could work with computers.

You guys are hilarious. Ok, here's my confession for today:

I own and love "The Clapper!"

I hate technology's vise-like grip on my life and my inability to break free.

Also, I want to go back in time and kill the people who invented:

a) styrofoam
b) car alarms
c) cell phones

Of course, they'd probably all get invented by other people anyway, but a gal can dream, can't she?

I actually think that Windows Media Audio 9 sounds good.

Oh, Jonathan...you poor, deluded soul. Everyone knows that Microsoft is Evilâ„¢ and that WMP is therefore Evilâ„¢ and cannot sound good!

8^)

I like to piss in the sink at
Starbuck's.
