Parents Name Child "Yahoo"
A Romanian couple has named their son "Yahoo" (no exclamation point thank God) as a way of showing thanks for their meeting via Yahoo's dating service.
"Cornelia and Nonu Dragoman, both from Transylvania, met and decided they were meant for each other following a three-month relationship over the net. They married and had a baby this Christmas, whom they decided to name after one of the worldwide web's most popular portals." Source: Reuters U.K.
Not sure what is more bizarre to ponder. The fact that they hooked up after only three months of online courtship and then immediately began a family, or the fact that Yahoo is global enough to help Transylvanian singles. By the way, the name Yahoo is his middle name not his first name as other sources have reported.
In a related story, Bill O'Brien just announced that he was changing his middle name to Hemi.
