iPod Picture Service Shoot-Out
Who knew that making iPod-themed ads out of your own photos could get so heated? When we posted a picture made with competing service PodaPic.com, we got an email from Dave at rival iPodmyphoto.com.

He said, "Alice and Bill, That ipod picture of you two on your site created by podapic is atrocious. Please allow us to properly iPodify you free of charge. Just send me the same photo and we will give it the treatment it deserves. We've gotten a little bit of flack for the price we charge, but as we approach 500 orders with NO dissatisfied customers, it's clear that quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten."

Sure enough, using the same photo that we uploaded to PodaPic (see photo on the left), the gang at iPodmyphoto definitely managed to capture more detail in our clothing and outlines than we ever thought possible. So for $19.99, you definitely get more attention and better results.

As promised here is a side by side comparison. Verdict: ipodmyphoto is hands down the better service, but at $19.99, it is not for goofing around. Use it to make a cool gift or eye-catching office art. At $3.99, Podapic is for the more casual person looking for something amusing.

I love this job
- one minute we're writing about air cooled CPU strategies, the next it's a shoot-out between ipod photo services! Go figure.

I'm probably out of touch 'cause I just don't get it.

Jesu craPO, I get tired of every tech site posting every little twisted ipoditioc idea.

If I wanted to read about ipod antics I'd go to apple.com or ipod.com or gizmodo.

There is after all life without ipod.

Sorry Alice and Bill, I couldn't disagree more. Yes, I agree PodAPic did you a disservice with the picture posted above, however I seems they have reformed their methods. As well, I debated between the two businesses and finally chose PodAPic given my budget. Boy was I impressed when I got the end result. The picture is FANTASTIC and I couldn't be more satisfied. Not to mention, I received preferential treatment and a low price of $6.99 for my photo in all five colors. Sorry, but you need to reconsider your recommendation. PodAPic is the way to go. Come to my site to see why...

WOW -- that Poopapic photo is hilarious!! Looks like ipod earbuds have zero gravity, which would be such a cool feature. Apple should sell zero gravity earbuds and then Poopapickle would be an awesome service!! Podapic SUCKS!

Podapic is now $8 -- thats not such a good deal. I think I will go with the best rather than settling with these jokers. Podapic Sucks!!
