Rover Ups the Power Level
"All we can really say is that overnight the solar panels produced between 2 and 5 percent additional power immediately. We're surmising that for some reason dust is being removed from the solar panel and that's increasing the efficiency of the sunlight being converted to electricity." So says Jim Erickson, the rover project manager at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena. Is it important that he said "dust is being removed" and not, "less dust is accumulating?" Martian wind, maybe? Very tidy little Martian grey guys? Something is definitely happening. Care to speculate?

The rover has become sentient (clearly a result of sunspot activity) and cannibalized one of the old rovers to make panel-wipers for itself. Next on the agenda is a supercharger, and then a really wicked paint job involving a hot martian chick mural, and lots of flames.

The first martian hot rod!

You've seen my Camaro!

The simplist answer.

Personally, the October 3rd cartoon seems to have some merit.

Martian squeegee kids.

What Bill did with his spare time after the cancellation of Hard Edge?

What means "spare time?"

You know, the extra time you had since you didn't have to come up with an excuse as to why the column was late, again?
