Bragging Rights?
So what do my wandering eyes behold sticking through the gunport, er, mailslot of the brass-bound oaken doors of the Lab of Doom and Pepsi Cola but a press release from AMD: "AMD64 CAPTURES LIGHTNING IN A BOTTLE DURING ERIC CLAPTON'S CROSSROADS GUITAR FESTIVAL." It goes on to proclaim that, "Warner Strategic Marketing's new double DVD chronicling Eric Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival was recorded in high-resolution 5.1 surround audio using AMD64 technology-based digital audio workstations (DAWs)."
Wouldn't that be a little like Liquitex announcing, "Liquitex Captures God during Ceiling Paint Fest!" Well, I guess I can forgive AMD for touting everything in the known universe that uses an AMD processor this time --unless, of course, the 2x DVD Clapton set has a copy of Layla -unplugged. Crappiest re-interpretation of a somg I've ever heard.
