New IE Bugs Open Up Even XP SP2 To Attack
Here's the quote from the story: "Two new vulnerabilities in Internet Explorer 6.0 were unveiled by a security firm Wednesday that hackers could exploit to bypass security features even in Microsoft's most secure OS, Windows XP SP2."

Like we didn't expect it. Somebody pass the spackle?

"This is why I never us Internet Explorer."

Good idea! Oh, btw... They also found flaws in "several flavors of the Mozilla Foundation's browsers, the Opera browser, the Konqueror browser for Linux and two third-party plug-ins that add the feature to Microsoft's Internet Explorer."

As Mozilla and the various other browsers gain use, they are finding more and more flaws in those browsers. Imagine that.

I am pretty annoyed with the crap that MS has been dishing out in the browser arena, but don't just assume that it's only IE that has issues. That's a sure way to become overconfident and end up losing bigtime to some kid who's got too much time on his hands and too few morals.

That's why I use Netscrape.

The vunerabilities with Mozilla, Safari, etc. are very minor. The vunerability with IE is serious, since Microsoft made IE so tightly integrated with the OS. It also bypasses a fix in SP2 that fixed the old way to exploit this vunerability.

So, no, I would say using Mozilla, Opera, or another browser with Windows is a very wise choice indeed.
